Happy New Year

2019 update – Our slipway was especially busy last year and it was satisfying to see so many of our customers taking advantage of the summer months. Late autumn was host to new and returning customers arriving for the winter lay-up.

Stour News – For those of you who do not already know, Richborough Marine Ltd introduced a Dry Dock on the Stour, located down river towards the estuary. The dry dock can accommodate vessels up to 90ft in length with a beam of no more than 19ft. For more information please call 07792 003 376.

River Safety – Last year tragically a young boy lost his life on river and so we would like to remind you all how important it is to be safe near and on the water, whether it is at sea or inland. For those of you living close by you can purchase a lifejacket locally from Highway Marine Ltd as well as other safety equipment.

Finally – We would like to thank you all for your continued custom and support in 2019 which adds to the community atmosphere here. We wish each and every one of you an exciting and prosperous 2020.

What is happening in 2020?

2020 Tide Table – You can view or download a pdf of this year’s tide table from Highway Marine’s website

Be prepared – With the frosty mornings and low temperatures expected at this time of year your boat should already be winterised. Whether you liveaboard or not and require a gas safety check we now have a customer onsite who is LPG certified. Please remember to report any safety concerns to the office immediately.

For Sale – We do have some boats coming up for sale soon which we will place on the ‘For Sale’ page. Be warned as these are mostly projects!

Fees – Due to rising supplier costs it is likely that some of our charges will increase marginally in April so keep a check on our fees tab.

Spring Offer – Although not advertised yet we will be introducing a Spring Offer soon for new or returning customers (T’s and C’s apply).

Conservancy Fees – I have it on good authority that the annual Conservancy fees (payable to Sandwich Port & Haven Commissioners) for 2020/2021 will not be increasing this coming April and will therefore remain at £85 for the year. This I will confirm at a later date.

Dates to Remember

The next time your fees are due!!!!
14th February – Valentine’s Day
29th February – Yes, it’s a leap year
17th March – St Patrick’s Day
